The Pasadena Unified School District was informed by the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) that a petition to form the Altadena Unified School District has been submitted. At least 25% of the registered voters in the petition area needed to sign the petition in order for it to be valid.

 

As of October 6, 3,626 students from Altadena attend Pasadena Unified School District in grades pre-K to age 22.  Of these students, 2,246 attend PUSD schools outside of Altadena.   Altadena residents attending PUSD schools located in Pasadena and Sierra Madre would be required to change schools if the reorganization petition is successful.  Click here for additional information about Altadena students.
